On December 13, 2009, Ray Arden Albertson, age 56, of the Pin Hook Community lost his courageous six year battle with melanoma cancer. He continued to fight and defy the odds for years. He was a warrior to the very end. Ray was a loving, devoted and proud family man. He centered his life around those he loved and cherished. His friends and family brought him his true joy in life and he never shied from giving his easy smile, a hug and \"I Love You\". He was predeceased in death by his parents, William (Bill) & Mildred Albertson, as well as his brothers Jimmie and Timmy Albertson. He leaves behind a devoted wife of 35 years, Sherrie Albertson and a loving brother, Billy Albertson. Also, four committed children, Tracie & Marty Edge of Hubert, Kellie & Andy Pope of Wallace, Brandon & Jesse Albertson of Warsaw, and Brianna Albertson of the home. He drew insurmountable joy from his nine wonderful grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Ray was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved with all his heart and was loved by all of those whom received the gift of knowing him. Though the world is a dimmer place without his smile and we will miss him beyond words, he is at peace and resting in God's loving embrace, no longer struggling.
