Rebecca Ann Smith Harrell of Wallace, NC departed her earthly life during the early morning hours of Saturday, September 18, 2021 while at Vidant Hospital in Greenville.  Born on August 29, 1949 in Sampson County, she is the daughter of the late Elwin Crumpler and Eunice Mae Robertson Smith.  She is also preceded in death by her daughter—Tracey Stalker and grandson—Preston Lee Stalker.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband—Jesse R. Harrell of the home; children—Royce "Lee" Williams, Jr. and Melissa Harrell Murphy both of Wallace; grandchildren—Carlee Cottle, Randyn Swinson, Carissa Shepard, , Faythlyn Williams, Katey Stalker, and Chandler Stalker; brother—Jerry Smith and wife Linda of Deep Run; sister—Linda Price and husband Linwood of Seven Springs; niece—Terry Daye; nephews—J. P. Smith and Jeremy Price; special friends—Lois McCartney, "Lolo" Cranford, Brandy Swinson Lanier and Jeff Gore; and special cousin—Barbara Jean Bishop.

Becky loved her Lord with all her heart and tried her best to live up to His expectations in all she did.  She loved her family more than anything else on earth and nothing earthly was more important to her than they were.

A graveside service to celebrate her life is set for 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 20, 2021 in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Rose Hill.  Officiating will be her pastor and friend, Reverend Buck Garrison and special friend Wayne Keene.  Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the Harrell family.
