Mr. Roy Lester Dougherty, Jr., age 74 of Wallace, NC, died on October 16, 2015 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, NC. Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverview Mausoleum conducted by Dr. Alan Thompson .

Mr. Dougherty is survived by his wife, Carole Dougherty of the home, his son, Sean Dougherty of Wallace, NC, his daughter, Kasey Dougherty of Asheville, NC, his son-in-law, Kevin Sondey of Asheville, NC, his grandson, Quinn Sondey of Asheville, NC and his brother, William Dougherty of Riverview, FL.

Roy was born on August 6, 1941 in New Castle County, Delaware to the late Roy Lester Dougherty and Marie Vail Dougherty.

He was predeceased by a brother, Michael Dougherty.
