Mr. Roy James English age 78 of 4453 South NC Hwy. 41, Wallace died Friday, November 20, 2009 at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. A Funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM, Monday, November 23, 2009 at Padgett Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Billy Toler. Burial will be at 11:00 AM,Tuesday, November 24 in the English Family Cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Robbie Hanchey English of the home; three sons, Ronnie Dean English and Bobby Lane English of Raleigh, Donnie James English of Wallace; one daughter, Beverly Anne Thigpen of Pink Hill; six grandchildren, Ashlea Raynor, Lisa English, Robyn Britt, Jessica Thigpen, Jamie English, and Robert English; four great grandchildren and one sister, Ruby Warner of Glenwood, UT. A native of Duplin county, Mr. English is the son of the late Fitzhugh Madison English and Elvie Barnhill English. He is also preceded in death by one sister, Marion. The family will receive friends immediately following the service Monday night until 9:00 PM.
