Mrs. Shirley Knowles Mozingo age 75 of Teachey died Sunday December 12, 2010 at Rosemary Rest Home in Rose Hill. She is survived by one son, Lynwood Charles Mozingo of Teachey, three sisters, Mrs. Sue Cottle of Rose Hill, Mrs. Jean Perryman and husband Harry of Prescott, AZ and Mac Combs and husband Carl, one sister-in-law, Jane Knowles of Escondido, CA and a host of nieces and nephews. A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Mozingo was the daughter of the late Marvin Royster and Berta Mae Johnson Knowles and a member of Peniel Pentecostal Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Charles Mozingo, two brothers, Hilburne Knowles and Norwood Knowles and two infant sisters, Grace Knowles and Kay Knowles. Casketbearers will be Ricky Bordeaux, Tommy Smith, Charles Futrell, Johnnie Johnson, Steven Jones and Jason DeBose.
