Stacey Floyd Hunter of Chinquapin, NC, passed from his earthly life on October 11, 2023 while at home.  Born on May 5, 1956, he is the son of the late Elton French Hunter, Sr. and Virginia Floyd Hunter.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife—Deborah Holmes Hunter; and siblings—Elton Hunter, Jr. and wife Anne of Chinquapin, Linda Miller of Kenansville, and Glenda Sue Hall and husband Julius Ray of Clayton.

Stacey was born in Duplin County and spent most of his life in the Chinquapin area.  He was a farmer during his work career and thoroughly enjoyed being outdoors enjoying nature with all its beauty.  He took great pride in the many pumpkins he grew.

A graveside service to celebrate his life is set for 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 16, 2023 in the Golden Grove Cemetery in Kenansville.  The family will receive friends at other times at the residence.
