Mr. Stanley Curtis King, age 81 of Wallace, NC, passed away peacefully from complications of dementia at Lower Cape Fear Hospice on February 3, 2016. Stanley was employed for many years as sales manager at WLSE radio station . He later retired from Collier Gas Company.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 6 at 11:00 a.m. at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC conducted by Rev. Pat Trobaugh. Burial will follow services at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery in Wallace, NC.

He was born on January 13, 1935 and was the son of the late Leslie Curtis and Flonnie Norris King.

He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his sisters, Lois King Murphy and Elizabeth King Mann Hagenbotham, brother, Roy Lee King and twin granddaughters, Katherine Hope and Meredith Frances King.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Griffin King, brother, Eldred Daniel King of Carolina Beach, NC, son, Stanley Franklin King of Wallace, NC, daughters, Diane King Sheffield and husband Ronald of Hampstead, NC, Donna King McGraw and husband Jerry of Wilmington, NC and Susan King Hatcher and husband Jeff of Chinquapin, NC.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Brad King and wife Junelyn of Joppa, MD, Bailey Smith and husband Mario of Oakland, CA, Drewe Smith of Wilmington, NC, Chandler Perry and husband Michael of Sneads Ferry, NC, Chase McGraw of Wilmington, NC, Holland McGraw of Chapel Hill, NC, Gabriel Sheffield of Raleigh, NC and great granddaughters, Jordyn Grace and Braelyn Hope King.

Mr. King served in the National Guard for 8 years.

Casket Bearers will be Ronald Sheffield, Jerry McGraw, Jeff Hatcher, Brad King, Chase McGraw and Gabriel Sheffield.
