Stephen Anthony Watkins, Sr. of Wallace, NC passed from his earthly life on the early morning of Thursday, April 7, 2022, while at home.  Born on August 26, 1973, he is the son of Mildred Bradshaw and the late Eugene Franklin Watkins.  He was also preceded in death by infant daughter—Ashley Watkins.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife—Dorothy Renea Watkins of the home; children—Jakeb Cox of Raleigh, Tammie Watkins (Brandon Santiago) of Kenansville, Troy Watkins of Salemburg, Stephen Watkins, Jr. of Wallace, and Coby Watkins of Wallace; mother—Mildred Bradshaw of Jacksonville; granddaughter—Alyssa Silva of Kenansville; sister—Tammie Cox (Keith) of Mount Olive; brothers—Robert Carter, Jr. of Faison and Wesley Johnson of Clinton.

Mr. Watkins work career gave him a tremendous amount of joy in the driving of trucks.  He loved his family very much and they were the most important of all things on earth.

A service to celebrate his life is set for 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022, in the chapel of Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services in Wallace, NC.  Officiating will be the Reverend Jimmy Johnson.  Interment will follow in the Watkins Cemetery on Mail Route Road in Wallace.
