Mr. Thomas Green "T. G." Huffman, age 99 of Chinquapin died on December 12, 2015. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Sharon Baptist Church in Chinquapin, NC conducted by Rev. Pat Trobaugh. Burial will follow at Devotional Gardens in Warsaw, NC. The family will receive friends and family on Monday, December 14 from 6-8 pm at Padgett Funeral Home, Wallace, NC.

T. G. is survived by three sons Glenn Thomas Huffman and wife Sylvia of Watkinsville, GA, Joseph Patrick (Pat) Huffman and wife Joan of Beulaville, NC and Kenneth Dail Huffman and wife Sarah of Wallace, NC, his daughter-in-law, Kathy Huffman of Wilmington, NC, his grandchildren , Lisa Bryan and husband Mike of Lawrenceville, GA, Tracy Chitwood and husband Jeff of Commerce, GA, Scott Huffman of Watkinsville, GA, Sarah Rogers and husband Craig of Charlotte, NC, Vonda Norris and husband John of Chinquapin, NC, Adam Huffman of Charleston, SC, and Thomas Huffman of Keener, NC, Eight great grandchildren, his sisters, Betty Lou Bryan of Jacksonville, NC and Mary Johnson and husband Ed of New Bern, NC and his sister-in-law, Arline Huffman.

T. G. was born on June 28, 1916 in Onslow County, NC to the late George F. and Betty (Heath) Huffman.

He was predeceased by his 1st wife, Clara Dail Huffman, his 2nd wife, Margaret Hunter Huffman, his son, Clifton Hayes Huffman, his brother, George C. Huffman, his sisters, Helen H. Weston, Margaret Alice Davis, Jennie Mae Harrell and Grace H. Buchanan.

T. G. loved gardening and fishing. He was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Chinquapin where he served as a deacon for numerous years and was a member of the building and grounds committee.

Casket Bearers will be David Wood, Milton Hunter, Jim Brown, Thomas Huffman, John Norris and Craig Rogers.
