Mr. Tyde \"Ty\" Henderson, age 22 of Wallace, NC, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2013 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, NC. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Wallace United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Dr. Robert Kretzu and Rev. Brad Carter. Burial will follow in Amos Lanier Cemetery, Chinquapin. The family will receive two hours prior to the service at the Church. Surviving besides his parents, David and Melony Henderson and a brother, Jerome Henderson and wife Georgianna of Chinquapin, NC, a sister, Blair Henderson of Wallace, NC, three Aunts, Rhonda Tyler and husband Dale of Rocky Point, NC, Danette Heath and husband Allen of Pink Hill, NC, Tena Roberts and husband Ken of Wallace, NC, three Uncles, Randall Henderson and wife Nancy of Burgaw, NC, Chris Henderson and wife Susan of Wallace, NC and Todd Williams and wife Dionne of Wilson, NC, grandparents, Jack and Hazel Henderson of Wallace, NC and Allen Williams of Wallace, NC, a nephew, Drew Phillip Henderson and several cousins and close friends. Born September 4, 1990 in Wilmington, NC, Ty was the son of David and Melony (Williams) Henderson and was preceded in death by a grandmother, Molly Jenine Williams. Ty was a member of Troop 51 and received his Eagle Scout in 2007. Ty graduated from Wallace Rose Hill in 2009 where he played football and baseball. After High School, Ty attended college at James Sprunt Community College and Cape Fear Community College. Ty was a member of the Wallace United Methodist Church in Wallace. He enjoyed being around his friends, and spending time with his family. Ty had an outgoing personality and always put a smile on everyone's face. He will be missed by all. Casket bearers will be Jordan Canady, Clay Davis, Brody Young, Wesley Cavenaugh, Corey Parker, Jonathan Henderson, William Henderson and Andrew Williams.
