Mrs. Virginia Cottle Brown age 80 of Rose Hill died Thursday January 6, 2011 at Brian Center Heatlth and Rehabilitation in Wallace. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Clarence Brown of Rose Hill, one son, Alton Thomas Brown of Atlanta, GA, two grandchildren, Aaron Brown and wife Julie of Albertson, NC and Andrew Brown and wife Brittany of Rose Hill and one great grandchild, Averee Brown. A native of Duplin County, Mrs. Brown was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Essie Mae Watkins Cottle and was a member of Rose Hill United Methodist Church. She loved working on family history and Recipe books and worrying about her family. She was preceded in death by her son, Clarence Brown, Jr. Casketbearers will be Aaron Brown, Andrew Brown, David Brown, Steve Cavanaugh, Steve Lanier Clifton Lanier and Bud Lanier.
