Mr. Willard Neal Nelson, Jr., age 68 of Kenansville, NC, died on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at his residence. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Rockfish Memorial Cemetery in Wallace conducted by the Rev. Stephen Rueberg. Willard is survived by his sister, Debra Nelson Thomas and husband Michael of Rose Hill, NC, a son, Bobby Nelson, a niece Lauren Thomas of Warsaw, NC and his canine companion, Skip. Willard was born on January 12, 1947 in Georgia to the late Willard Nelson, Sr. and Mildred (Sheffield) Nelson and was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lula Sheffield.
