William Edward Wells age 94 of Teachey, went to be with the Lord March 23, 2010. He resided for the past two years at DaySpring Assisted Living, Wallace, NC and most recently at Quinn Hospice Care Center, Kenansville, NC. Mr. Wells was born in 1915 to the late Will and Julie Wells. After graduating from Presbyterian Jr. College, he returned to the WellsTown Community involved in farming and other businesses. He was passionate about serving the Lord and taking care of his family. He was a wonderful husband and father. As a faithful member of Rose Hill Baptist Church, he held various responsibilities until his health started declining. He will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife of almost 70 years, Ruby Dixon Wells, five sisters, and two brothers. He is survived by daughters, Nancy Willard and husband Bob of Hampstead, Marjorie Hinson and husband David of Kinston, and son Fred Wells and wife Jean of Wilmington, seven grandchildren, Bryan Willard of GA, Sandra Stevens of Texas, Jill Sullivan of Hampstead, Abby Ritter and Jason Wells of Wilmington, April Counts of Hampstead, and Dave Hinson of New Bern and fourteen great-grandchildren.
