Mr. William Frank Wells age 81 of Rose Hill, NC, died on March 23, 2015 at Golden Care Rest Home in Wallace, NC. Funeral services will be held on
Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Baptist Church in Magnolia, NC conducted by the Rev. Dan Sellers and the Rev. Ross Cavanaugh. Burial will follow at Knowles Cemetery in Rose Hill, NC. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25 from 7:00-9:00 pm at Padgett Funeral Home in Wallace, NC.
Frank is survived by two daughters, Pamela Edens and husband Danny of Wilmington, NC and Sandra Leap and husband Bill of Magnolia, NC, four grandchildren, Jennifer Newmons and husband Skip of Magnolia, NC, Justin Watson and wife Macie of Wallace, NC, Rebecca Edens of Wilmington, NC and Sarah Edens of Raleigh, NC, one great grandson, Dylan Newmons of Magnolia, NC, two sisters, Ruth Evans and husband Clarence of Magnolia, NC and Edith Merritt of Wallace, NC, a daughter-in-law, Gail Watson of Wallace and his previous wife, Jo Gurganious Pridgen of Wilmington, NC.
Frank was born on March 15, 1934 in Pender County to the late Henry Ziekel and Annie Mae Knowles Wells, Sr. He was also predeceased by his wife, Geraldine K. Wells, two brothers, Henry Z. Wells, Jr. and James (Jay) Wells, two sisters, Betty Wells Brown and Louise Wells Murray, his son, Gerald (Jerry) B. Watson and his son-in-law, Joe Moore.
Frank worked for many years at Rose Hill Gulf gas station. He enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. He also worked as a house mover for many years. His greatest joy was his family.
Casket Bearers will be Bobby Ward, Wade Ward, J. T. Kelly, Billy Floyd, Mitch Robinson and Wilbert Bryant.
