Mr. William Earl Mitchell age 75 of Magnolia, died Monday, June 7, 2010 at Coastal Rehabilitation in Wilmington, NC. A native of Greene County, Mr. Mitchell is the son of the late Doc and Ella Ivey Mitchell. He is survived by his wife, Rosa Mitchell of the home; son, Buddy Mitchell and wife Diana of Magnolia; grandchildren, Jennifer Stokes and husband Stratton of Wallace, Andrew Mitchell and Kelsey Mitchell of Magnolia; a special daughter, Betty Jane Casteen; sisters Frances Wells of Wilmington, Rachel Shaw of Ivanhoe, Susan Godsey and Iris Riggs of Florida, Margaret Sealey of South Carolina; brothers, James Mitchell of Harrells, Thomas Mitchell of Harrells and Durwood Mitchell of Clinton. He is preceded in death by his sister, Katie Teachey. Mr. Mitchell was a member of the First Magnolia PFWB Church. He worked at Smith Brothers Gas for fifteen plus years and in sales at Electrolux.
