William Timothy "Timmy" Stallings, age 62, of Hampstead died unexpectedly at his home on Thursday night, August 9, 2018. Born on October 8, 1955, he was the son of Margaret J. Stallings of Wallace, NC and the late William Allen "Billy" Stallings. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his brother Allen Joel Stallings and his uncle Dewey Stallings.

Timmy retired from General Electric as a machinist in the aircraft manufacturing division. He was a free spirited person and traveled in several foreign countries during his life. Scuba diving and flounder gigging were an integral part of his life and he was an animal lover especially when it concerned dogs. He was always fond of the coastal life.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother--Margaret J. Stallings of Wallace; aunts--Lois Judge of Rose Hill, Hilma Mills of Richlands, Helen Bean and husband Jack of Clover, SC, and Peggy Stallings of Wallace; uncles--John A. Stallings, Jr. of Wallace and James Landan Jones and wife Martha of Greensboro; niece--Dr. Amy J. Hawkins of Salt Lake City, Utah; and numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends at 2:00 pm on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services in Wallace and at other times at the home of Mrs. Margaret Stallings in Wallace. A service honoring his life will be conducted by the Reverend Glen Batts at 3:00 pm on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rockfish Memorial Park in Wallace.
