Mr. Wilton Carlyle Morrison, Jr. age 63 of 610 Willard Road, Willard died Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice and Lifecare Center in Wilmington. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, August 14, 2009 at Padgett Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Tom McMahon and Rev. Ben Taylor. Burial will follow in Riverview Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife, Gail Morrison of the home; two sons, Ashley Todd Morrison and wife Tonya of Willard, Tony Roderick Morrison and fiancee Elizabeth of Wilmington; one brother, James Morrison and wife Gloria of Wallace; two grand-daughters, Gracelyn Brooke Morrison and Emery Ash Morrison; two nephews, Jeffrey Morrison and wife Heather and Bret Strickland; two nieces, Kerry Morrison and Blair Strickland; brother-in-law, Dwight Strickland and wife Shelley of Willard and mother-in-law, Louise C. Strickland of Willard. Mr. Morrison was born September 12, 1945, and is the son of Sallie Newkirk Morrison and the late Wilton Carlyle Morrison, Sr. He is a member of the Wells Chapel Baptist Church and served in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. The family will receive Friday at Padgett Funeral Home from 1:00 to 2:00 pm and at the residence of Todd and Tonya Morrison, 7525 NC Hwy. 11, Willard other times.
