Charles Schaeffer Obituary

Charles Francis Schaeffer of River Landing in Wallace, NC departed his earthly life on Sunday, April 30, 2023, while at home.  Born in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, he is the son of the late Harry and Virginia Gus Schaeffer.  He was also preceded in death by a brother—Earl Schaeffer.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife—Patricia Tinney; daughter—Laurie Morrow and husband Richard of Chantilly (VA); son—Robert Schaeffer and wife Siobhan of Alpharetta (GA); grandchildren—Brian Morrow and wife Taylor of Charlotte (NC), Sean Morrow and wife Danielle of Washington (DC), Ashley Schaeffer of Alpharetta (GA), and Caitlin Knight and husband Roy of Houston (TX); and great grandchildren—Dean Morrow, Wren Morrow, Keegan Knight, and Colin Knight.

Mr. Schaeffer was an avid golfer in the River Landing community and thoroughly enjoyed the fellowship in his many golf outings with friends.  Under his founding leadership, the Wallace-Rose Hill Friends of the Arts was established.  Many Duplin County students have benefited from this organization.

A mass is set for 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, 2023, in the Transfiguration Church of Wallace.  The family requests that, rather than flowers, a contribution be considered to the Lower Cape Fear Lifecare or Wallace-Rose Hill Friends of the Arts.
