Eunice Jacqueline English of Wallace, North Carolina passed from her earthly life during the evening of Wednesday, March 10, 2021 while at Duplin Vidant Hospital in Kenanville, NC. She was born in New Hanover County on December 17, 1929. Preceding her in death are her husband--Raymond Lee English; sons--Glenn Warren English and Wayne Carson English; and her mother--Edna Iona English.
Left to cherish her memory are her friend and helper--James Dowtin of Wallace; close family friend Jimmy Hanchey and wife Mary Katherine of Lake Placid, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. English grew up in the Northeast area of Duplin County and was known far and wide as the manager of the Pink Supper House for more than forty years. During her lifetime, she practiced as a certified nursing assistant, worked for many years in Murphy's Department Store, and was a poll worker during elections.
A graveside service to celebrate her life is set for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 15, 2021 in the Riverview Memorial Cemetery of Watha, NC. Officiating the ceremony will be Reverend Kevin Peterson and Mr. Bobby Cavenaugh. At Mrs. Eunice request, soloist Anita Cavenaugh will sing "If We Never Meet Again This Side of Heaven" and "I'll Fly Away".
