Gordon Stanley Youmans, age 84, of Magnolia, passed away May 17, 2021, while at Kenansville Health and Rehab.
Gordon was born December 1, 1936 in Michigan. He was the son of the late Victor Wayne Youmans and Ethel Mae Pixley Youmans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne Youmans and James Youmans, and his son, William Youmans.
Gordon is survived by his wife, Linda Theresa Buscemi; daughter Mary Sorace and husband Frank of Arizona; three sons Derek Youmans of Magnolia, Dana and wife Karen of New York, Dale and wife Kirstin of Florida and daughter-in-law Jodi; grandchildren Jody Straughn of Arizona, Amy Costillo of California, Elizabeth Sorace and husband Mario of California, Ava Youmans of New York, and Jared Youmans of New York; his brother Raymond Youmans and wife Terri of Colorado and seven great grandchildren.
Mr. Youmans grew up in Flint, Michigan in a family of four children and was later in the United States Air Force for nine years. In high school he participated in all sports that were available at the time. He enjoyed soft ball, yard work, and was tremendously involved in his children’s activities such as art shows, band performances and sports.
