John Alfred Stallings, III

John Alfred Stallings III of Wallace, NC, departed his earthly life on the early morning of Thursday, June 2, 2022 while at home.  Born November 11, 1942, he is the son of  John Alfred Stallings Jr. and the late Dorothy Pierce Stallings.  He was also preceded in death by his wife Carolyn.    

Left to cherish his memory are his wife—Syreeta Ann Sandlin Stallings; father—John Alfred Stallings Jr. of Teachey; children—John A. “Jay” Stallings IV of Burgaw, Michael Stallings and wife Crystal of Wallace,   Michaela Sandlin of Beulaville, and Dottie Stallings of Wallace; grandchildren—Dakota Stallings of Wallace and Makayla Stallings of Wallace; and siblings—Brenda Sue Cranford and husband Jeff of Teachey, Jimmy Stallings and wife Sandra of Wallace, and Tommy Stallings and wife Mary of Lawrenceville (GA).

Mr. Stallings was born and raised in Duplin County.  He was best known as owner and operator of an auto repair business with his family in Wallace.

A service to celebrate his life is set for 2:00 p.m. on Monday, June 6, 2022 in the chapel of Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services of Wallace.  Family will greet friends at a visitation in the chapel one hour prior to the service at 1:00 p.m.  Interment will follow the service in the family cemetery at 394 Stallings Road, Teachey, NC.
