Louise Rex (Sanderson) English

Louise Rex Sanderson English of Wallace, NC, passed from her earthly life for her heavenly home on the late evening of Thursday, February 17, 2022, while at Universal Healthcare/Brunswick in Bolivia, NC.  Born on March 3, 1934, she is the daughter of the late Horry Lee and Lucille Lee Batts Sanderson.  Also preceding her in death are her husband of fifty-five years--Thomas Raeford English; siblings--Dan Sanderson, J. B. Sanderson, Homer Sanderson, Bradley Sanderson, Hazel Cavenaugh, and Lois Moore

Left to cherish her memory are her children--Cynthia Clark and husband Rodney of Bolivia and Jeff English of Raleigh; grandson--Nicholas Clark of Chesapeake (VA); great grandchildren--Chase Clark, Ryan Clark, and Sydney Clark, all of Chesapeake (VA); sister--Peggy Sanderson Sellers and husband Tom of Wallace; brothers--Roy Sanderson and wife Frieda of Wallace and Johnny Sanderson and wife Kay of Wallace; sisters-in-law--Mary Sue Sanderson of Wallace and Carole Sanderson of Charleston (SC).

Mrs. Louise married Thomas Raeford English in 1957 and they raised their children in Wallace.  A greater part of her work career was in tax preparation as owner and operator of H & R Block in Wallace.  She attended Wallace Pentecostal Holiness Church where she served as church secretary and choir director and later attended Poston Baptist Church where she assisted with the choir.  While a member of Woodmen of the World, she held every office except secretary.  As an avid supporter of DAR, she volunteered many hours in support of the organization.  She had a tremendous interest in genealogy and spent many hours tracing family histories in the county registers of deeds and in cemeteries.  She is noted as one of the few people who did not like seafood.  Her love of family was the most important thing on earth and second only to her love of her Lord.  Floral gifts are welcome or, as a family request, please consider a contribution to the Falcon Children's Home in her memory.  

A service to celebrate her life is set for 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 21, 2022 in the 401 West Main Street chapel of Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services of Wallace.  Officiating will be the Reverend Chris Jarman.  Family will greet friends at a visitation in the chapel one prior to the service at 11:00 a.m.
