Manuel Juarez De La Cruz

Manuel Juarez De La Cruz of Wallace, NC, departed his earthly life on the morning of Tuesday, May 26, 2020 while at home.  Born in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico on November 15, 1932, he is the son of the late Guadalupe De La Cruz.  In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by his wife--Candelarie De La Cruz. 

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter--Salud Tadeo and husband Juan of Wallace; grandchildren-Victor Tadeo of Wallace, Jose Tadeo of Wallace, Mayra Tadeo and husband T.J. Pate of Pink Hill, and Martin Tadeo of Rose Hill; great grandchildren--Megan, Victor, Isabela, Diego, Sofia, Olivia, Lucas, Kaitlyn, and John Michael Watkins.

Manuel loved the sea, in  his youth he became a very able and strong deep sea fisherman.  Lived deeply and passionately in everything he did, enjoying life and rejecting negativity.  Eventually he became an excellent carpenter, very well known for his attention to detail.  A very happy person with an irresistible smile and laugh.  Never met a stranger, even if he didn't speak the language always made everyone laugh with jokes or hand signs.  He loved his family and they love him back.  They were able to enjoy him everyday of life, and will continue to do so in the beautiful memories he created.  He is with his beloved mother now.  

There is no death, only a transformation.  Good luck in the next level abuelito.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Rose Hill Cemetery in Rose Hill.  Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services of Wallace is assisting the family of Mr. Juarez De La Cruz.
