Mary Ann Sasser of Rose Hill left for her heavenly home December 2, 2022 while at home. Born on November 9, 1936, she is the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Juanita White Simmons. Also preceding her in death are her husband--Marion Sasser; stepmother--Alma Simmons; and stepdaughter--Ann Sasser.
Left to cherish her memory are her children--Randy Harrell (Anna), Jeff Harrell (Donna), Billy Harrell (Rita), and Lisa Taylor (Jamie); grandchildren--Jacob Harrell (Jennifer), Wendy Henderson (Mitchell), Todd Harrell (Tabitha), Brian Futrell (Ashley), Brandy Harrell, Justin Harrell (Brittany), Jessica Taylor, Tiffany Hernandez (Anthony), Jennifer Taylor, Cassandra Pablo Flores, and Amanda Smith; twenty-seven great grandchildren; sisters--Nancy Simmons and Sarah "Bootsie" Smith (Gerald).
Mrs. Sasser was born in Duplin County and spent a great of her life there. She was a very quiet, happy person and a wonderful homemaker. Her love for God was embedded in her family and of all the loves she had on earth, family was paramount.
A service to celebrate her life is set for 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at Padgett Funeral & Cremation Services in Wallace. Visitation will follow in the chapel. Interment on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in Rockfish Memorial Cemetery in Wallace. Officiating will be Pastor Buck Garrison.
