Richard Clem Paul, 77, of North Charleston, SC, husband of Rebecca “Becky” Bunnell Paul, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Friday afternoon, February 3, 2023, from 1 o’clock until 2:30 at Pagett Funeral and Cremation Services. Graveside services will be held immediately after visitation in Jacob Cavanaugh Cemetery.
Richard was born November 21, 1944, in Wilmington, NC, a son of the late Arthur Atwood Paul and Edna Mae Bradshaw Paul. He honorably served in the Army National Guard. He had a long career in logistics ending with 15 years at JW Aluminum. He was an avid golfer and loved surf fishing. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Rebecca B. Paul of North Charleston, SC, Richard leaves behind his son, Bryan Richard Paul (Rhonda) of Merritt Island, FL; daughter Kathy Paul Smith of Goose Creek, SC; brother Addie A Paul (June) of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Janice Paul Brown of King George, VA; three grandchildren, Richard Owen Paul (Taylor) of Savannah, GA, Dakota Paul Smith (Brittany)of Orangeburg, SC, and Emma Jordan Paul of Merritt Island, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents and a sister, Linda Paul Johnston of Wilmington, NC.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to the Matthew 25 Center, 1196 Penderlea Hwy, Burgaw, NC 28425.
