Roland Henry Jones, Jr.

Roland Henry Jones, Jr. of Henrico, VA and formerly of Rose Hill, NC died on the evening of Sunday, September 6, 2020 while at Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center in Mechanicsville, VA.  He was born on April 25, 1952 in Wilmington, DE to the late Roland Henry Jones, Sr. and Sarah Simonds Jones.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife--Joyce H. Jones; children--Tracie Posey and husband Joshua of Raleigh and Roland Henry Jones III of Wallace; step children--Carrie Burch and husband Charles, Jamie Kelly and wife Crystal, and Jason Kelly and wife Jane; brother--Bruce Jones and wife Brenda of Henrico; sister--Sarah English and husband Ricky of Rose Hill; grandchildren--Pyper Morgan Posey, Jordan Kennedy, Kaitlyn Kennedy, Mackenzie Kennedy, Owen Brown, C L Burch, Kassidie Burch, Katie Lynn Keirman, Ethan Burch, Jennifer Wood and husband Kevin, Jessica Kelly, Jamie Channing Kelly, Julie Borg and husband Thomas, and Maxwell Kelly and wife Sarah; great grandchildren--Brooklyn Morrison, Savannah Farabee, Kaylee Farabee, Colton Farabee, Skylar Bracken, Cameron Pearson, and Emily Wood.

Mr. Jones spent a portion of his work career as a mechanic in the swine production industry in Duplin County. He loved his family a great deal and the grandchildren and great grandchildren were paramount to him . 

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at Riverview Memorial Park in Watha, NC.  Padgett Funeral & Cremation services is serving the Jones family.
