Rolen Harrel Brown of the Pin Hook area near Wallace passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 5, 2020 at his residence with his sons at his side. Born on December 26, 1942, he was the son on the late Latne William and Nannie Green Swinson Brown. Also preceding him in death are his wife--Linda Joy Hart Brown; and siblings—Alvin Brown, J. D. Brown, Christine Brown Dodson, and Daniel Brown.
Left to cherish his memory are his children—James Harrell Brown and wife Tammy of Richlands, Latne Allen Brown and wife Emily of Wallace, and Linda Kaye Brown of Goldsboro; stepson--Bobby Parry and wife Dawn of Raleigh; sisters—Georgianna “George” Kennedy and husband Randolph of Beulaville and Magalene Cagle of Wilmington; grandchildren—Amanda, Karen, Alex, Will, Ernest, Adrianna, Ella, and Connor; grandchildren—River and Cambri; and the mother of his children--Patsy Brown Kennedy.
Mr. Brown spent the major part of his career working as a welder and crane operator with several different companies in the area. He also enjoyed farming.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 8, 2020 in the James Cemetery on Lightwood Bridge Road near Pin Hook.
