Stanley Carl Maready

Stanley Carl "Stan" Maready of Wallace, NC departed his earthly life on Thursday, September 9, 2021 while at Vidant Hospital of Greenville, NC.  Born on April 27, 1957 in Germany, he is the son of Ruth Maria Marhofer Maready and the late Ruby C Maready.  He is also preceded in death by his brother--Steven Maready; niece--Amanda Chestnutt Rose; and nephews--James Chestnutt and Stephen Maready.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother--Ruth Maria Marhofer Maready of Wallace; siblings--Alice Chestnutt of Kenansville, Albert Maready and wife Diana of Burgaw, Ronnie Maready of Wallace, Joan Brock and husband Ray of Beulaville, Irene Whaley and husband Kenny of Richlands, and David Maready of Wallace; many nieces and nephews; and his favorite companion--"Sheba".

Stanley traveled a great deal as a child due to the military background of his parents.  A great part of his career was in CB radio repair where he met many life long friends.  He enjoyed westerns, science fiction, and "Star Trek" in his spare time.

A graveside service to celebrate his life is set for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021 in the Amos Lanier Cemetery of Chinquapin, NC, officiated by the Reverend Jimmy Johnson.
