William Stokes Wells

Mr. William Stokes (W.S.) Wells, Jr. age 78 of 690 Wells Brothers Road, Rose Hill died, Saturday, June 20, 2009 at Pitt Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Rose Hill Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Bruce Herrmann and Rev. Robert Plummer. Burial will follow in Wells Family Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Brown Wells of the home; one daughter, Mrs. Dawn Cottle and husband Ronald \"Ron\" of Elizabethtown; two sons, William Stokes \"Bill\" Wells, III and wife Stephanie of Raleigh, Andrew James \"Andy\" Wells and wife Missy of Rose Hill; four grandchildren, William Stokes Wells, IV, Caroline Cottle, Meredith Cottle, Allison Cottle; one brother, Harold B. \"Toby\" Wells of Whiteville; two sisters, Mrs. Gayle W. Powell of Whiteville, Mrs. Carolyn Wells and husband Charles of Wilmington.
A native of Duplin County, Mr. Wells was a member of the Rose Hill Baptist Church and the son of the late William Stokes Wells and Ruby Wells.
The family will receive at Rose Hill Baptist Church, Tuesday 6:00 to 8:00 pm and their residence other times.
